24seven Year Eng Blogger Hat-py Party on 30 Dec 2009

I am very honored and happy for being invited to 24seven Year Eng Blogger Hat-py Party event!

I was all prepared to knock off at 5.30pm straight, to enjoy the party, but last minute things happened ! I was caught up at work till 6pm.(Event started at 7pm) So i had to take a cab to Singapore Art Museum.
The meter 'beeped' twice on the way there.Not enough cash, so had to pay with nets..

I was still on time for the party, Yeah!

They had this band called: Black Diamond Ninjas who performed, and so coincidently, of of them was my reservist mate.Haha!

My formal celebration for Christmas 2009.

It started with a movie with my friend.
Alvin and The Chipmunks The Squeakquel we watched. I did not watch the first movie, but this second one made me want to go get that. 
It was funny, and cute, especially Theodore! =)

After this we headed over to Safra K-box, for singing.

It's Christmas today! Merry Christmas everyone! =)
Did not party this year, as worked late on Christmas Eve, and got home 10pm, with a tired body.

So sorry to my friends, i did not make it to the party. =(

Rested at home, the whole day.

It was not easy to have all the family members together at home nowadays, with everyone working, and busy with their own things.
A lucky thing today: Parents, Grandma, Brother and me, were all at home! Since it's Christmas, we decided to have a special dinner.

Poll Result : Music or not on Blogs ?

After a week, 3 people voted. Haha! Better than none. =)
Results as shown. =)

It seems people still like music to be played on Blogs.
But 1 of them did voted a 'No'.
Some of the reasons i gathered are that the reader is actually already blasting or listening to music on their computer and when they visited blogs, the blog's music was more to a nuisance than music to them.

Personally, i took them off mine and blog seems to load faster. =)
I also shifted and kinda 'renovated' it, will still be fine-tuning it. (Not an expert, am still learning..)

This week is a long week, with me being involved in organizing the company's Christmas buffet lunch and dinner, predicted i have to work till late(I predict 9pm or later..) on 24th, which is Christmas Eve! While some companies are having half day or off day, I have to work. Zzzz..
Might have to forgo the Christmas party my friends invited me to.. got to see the situation on Thursday.

So is your company having half day or off day on Christmas Eve and last day of the year?
Just for info, I have to work full day. =[

Recently i feel work had been hectic and really had totally drained me out.
Been working here for five years, but things changed a lot this year.
People volunteering to leave the company, people resigning, management style changing...

I can't seem to find the motivation i got previously..

I seem to be dragging myself to work everyday.

I was still not being spared for queuing, in the end still got to queue. Managed to get home like 11:30pm. =/

Weekends

Hi all! How's your weekends? =) I went to the BookFest at Suntec City on Saturday. And i did not know Landy Wen, 溫嵐 was there for an autograph session too! I saw her live some year back in HMV, Orchard. That time she was nicely tanned, and giving out a very healthy sporty girl look. Yesterday, she had this super red short hair.. In case you don't know who she is.. However, personally i like her red short hair, and her singing. =) After this, i went to have a lonely walk around Suntec.. The area around Carrefour was having a Wii event. It can measure the BMI of you, got some Yoga steps to learn, got cycling game, got basketball game, the list goes on... So do you own a Wii ? =) * * * * * * * * I did some changes to my blog arrangement, will still be improving it. Did a poll at the side. It will be there for a week starting today. Topic being : "Do you like music to be played on Blogs ?" I would like to know from my readers. Let me know, ok ? Thank you! =)

Post exams celebrations

It was the last paper of the module, and after the paper, the group went Vivocity, Marche for dinner. (For bigger image, clink on the photo please) The food. Personally i like the Rösti, which is a Swiss dish consisting mainly of potatoes. =) We also took some photos with the ''Plastic Cows" outside.. And to expose my cheeky classmate.. Identity of the culprit is being censored. You all go figure out who this is. =P * * * * * * * * Going for Book Fest tomorrow at Suntec. Exams are over! Got money to buy iphone, but queues are everywhere..

I took my last exams for the course, which took me 1.5 years. However i still don't think i can make it for this paper, but what's done already is over, shall not think of it. The results will only be known in February 2010. And till then, i need to find things to keep myself occupied. Good luck! When i reached, i see the whole shop full of people, went forward, wanting to tell them i reserved an iphone. And to my horror, the queue was actually out of the shop, stretching the whole covered linkway of the mall... about 30 people and still queuing.. "But i reserved already.." i told the M1 staff... "Sorry, you still have to queue..." was the answer.. What for i reserve for one in the first place? -__-" Luckily, they are not the only one selling iphone now. iPhone available to StarHub, M1 customers from Wednesday

The news is out, after looking at friends owning them and me playing and using it. =) A lot of you may already been using it.. but still its a new toy for me! SINGAPORE: StarHub will make available the iPhone to its subscribers from Wednesday. It will also offer a range of new 3G mobile plans to meet the different needs of iPhone customers for voice, SMS and data usage. iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G models will be available for free on the 3G SmartSurf Unlimited plan with a two-year contract. Altogether, four new 3G SmartSurf price plans will be introduced. Local data usage charges are capped at S$48 monthly. Customers who have pre-registered for the iPhone will be given priority. Hours after StarHub revealed plans to rollout its iPhones, M1 announced it will do the same this Wednesday.There will be four new iPhone plans offered by M1. M1 said its iPhone customers will also enjoy call benefits of unlimited free calls to three M1 numbers, per second billing and discounts of up to 35 per cent on subscription fees with the multi-line saver programme. Local data usage charges are capped at S$36.38, slightly below StarHub's rates. In July, SingTel was the first operator to launch the new iPhone 3GS. - CNA/yb * * * * * * * * And an article from Hardwarezone, rounding up of all the plans.. And it has been set in stone. All three telcos have showed their hands for the iPhone price plans. For the moment, M1 is leading the pack, with the following advantages: 1. 10GB of data usage 2. Data cap of up to $36.38 3. I actually reserved from both M1 and Starhub, and today i tell myself, the company that get back to me first, i will buy from them. (so childish! haha..) Anyway most probably i be getting the M1 iPhone Lite plan, and paying $248 for a 16GB model. (The 10GB free data really made me go wow.. ) *And Starhub just revised their data to 12GB... What a drama! Oh a Christmas present for myself..... =)

Baby Full Month Celebration

Haha!! It was super intense studying over the weekends. Why? To clear out the memories of last paper, and to "upload" the information needed for the Thursday paper. Well, this cheered me up.. Back to my notes...

Cleared a paper today!

Hi all, i took my first paper today! It was alright, but brain was blank towards the end of the paper. What's done, can't be undone, just hope for the best! One more paper next week, on the 10th. Go Hong Wei ! =) * * * * * * * * Some updates from last week. 28 Nov 2009. A happy occasion. My dear friend, and great pal, Kenneth, who served the Army with me got married! It was a great gathering for the Army pal group. It was fun, fun and more fun! =) * * * * * * * * Remember the Nepalese orphans (Link at the side of my blog) ? My friend already flew over and they managed pay off the school fees and even got a bank account in Nepal for the children as reserve! I am so happy to hear this..! And best of all, she mailed me a photo of the kids, and they even wrote 'Thank You' at the back of it. So touched! Shall be taking note of their status, and will continue to help if they need it.
